Bishops - 0 / Colic - 1

Colic.
We will never again hear that word without tensing up, at least a little bit.  This week hasn't improved much on the constant screaming and crying from Jackson.  The doctor now has us giving him six doses of an acid reducer (think Maalox) six times per day to help with his reflux.  Just when we think something is working, it stops and the crying fits start all over again.  It is so painful to see our little baby upset and not be able to do anything to comfort him.  As the doctor says, this too will pass, but that's really hard to remember when you can't even hear yourself think.  We looked at pictures from when he was born and it is hard to believe how much he has grown already.  His face has changed so much and he seems to be getting rounder each and every day.  We treasure the moments that he laughs, smiles and coos, which are mostly on his changing table - why he loves that we will never know, but at this point, we don't ask questions, we just roll with it.

We were very excited that some of our good friends were in town this week, and even happier that they got to spend some time with Jax.  Happy March!

*We would like to give a special thanks to Gripe Water - a natural colic remedy that allows us to get three to seven minutes of calm baby (just enough time to take some pictures without tears!)
