Day 24 - Mommy and me

We had to scramble some of the days around to accommodate mommy & me to fall on Mother's Day, but it seemed more appropriate that way.  This is a special edition of "photo of the day" because we had an exciting morning at Grandma and Grandpa's that we wanted to share with everyone.  This picture of nugget and I was taken last out of all of these - please notice the wardrobe change from the photos below.  Let's just say that Jackson was so excited that it was Mother's Day that he pooped his pants. And mommy's. And mommy's shirt. And mommy's arm. It was a total nightmare, leaving both of us in need of a mid- day shower.

Mother's Day with the best Grandma!

 

We went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house this morning to have breakfast and give grandma her well deserved presents.  Jackson was super cute in his new orange and white shirt and sweater vest (Thank you, Long Grove!) but was only able to wear it for about a total of three hours today.

 

 

 

 

When we got home, we started to take Mommy/Jax pictures, and were able to capture the bottom two before the explosion...

 

Mother's Day hasn't always been the easiest of days for me, but this one starts a new chapter, giving me the opportunity to count my blessings.

I have an adorable, healthy little boy, an amazing stepdaughter and a wonderful mother in law - I'm a pretty lucky girl.
