This has been quite an eventful week in Jacksonville. On Saturday, we had to take him to the doctor to have his belly button cauterized... he had (has) what is called an umbilical granuloma, which basically means that it didn't heal correctly after the stump fell off. We aren't sure if he didn't like the doctor or the nitrate they used to cauterize, but he screamed his little head off. On Tuesday, we followed up with our regular pediatrician for his two month appointment, and he cauterized the area again. The good news is that besides the belly button drama, Jackson is doing wonderfully, now weighing in at 10lbs, 7oz and measuring nearly 22 inches!
He is very excited for next weekend to spend time with the Rominger / Bishop family and has saved lots of hugs and kisses for everyone.
I know we have a lot of pictures this week, but we invested in a camera for the family (not MIStudios) so that we don't have to get into the work equipment when we want to take shots of the little man. Mommy may be going a bit crazy with it. Happy Valentine's Day from all of us!
