We are happy to report that after a trip to the doctor, Jackson checked out to be in perfectly good health. He had been crying so much lately, that we were afraid something may be wrong, and that we may have just overlooked it because of the colic. Nope, the doctor told us that Jax just has severe, high maintenance colic and that our only option is to let him cry it out. The good news is that we have had some good days, so we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
He loves being awake as much as he hates taking naps. He is so alert and wants to get his hands on everything (and then put whatever it is into his mouth). We had a lot of friends suggest downloading some infant apps on our phones / ipad that essentially are lights and music to distract him from being fussy. The good news: they work!

The bad news: Jackson has accidentally done the following:
-text people we haven't talked to in years messages such as "eu34924dljwe" and "29fb;e.q./2211"
-call people by accident - hello Grandpa!
- started emails to people (mommy's old boss - we caught that one, thank goodness)
-changed some things on mommy's Pinterest page (maybe he doesn't like salmon with capers)
- liked/ unliked things on Instagram, along with leaving comments on pictures similar to the texts above
We purchased a case for the ipad that is made by Fisher Price, that is drool proof, spit up proof and supposedly able to block him from doing any of these things. Matt and I have both watched him and yet he still is able to get out of the rattle program and get to other applications. We have tried to duplicate what he does, and still can't understand how he is doing it.
We apologize if you have received any random messages, calls, texts, etc. from us. If they don't make sense, please know that Jackson is probably the man behind the message.
His latest face - super pouty lip
My dad is quite the fisherman, and he recently came over to our house with a twenty pound, 33" perch that he caught from the Mississippi River. That was by far, the largest fish I have ever seen. My friend Taylor and I had a Pinteresting day last week, making monogram letters to decorate our front doors. They turned out pretty awesome!
To end this post, we will leave you with Jackson's latest weekly photo, along with some snapshots of our kiddos. Enjoy!
