Jackson is continuing to grow like a weed and is so active in everything now (moving, eating, learning, exploring) and I have to say, it is amazing to watch. He still loves the outdoors, - I think he takes after Grandpa Becker on this one and has still never turned away from any food offering (except squash. He hates squash.)
He has mastered the crawl, but with only one hiccup - he goes in reverse.
We keep trying to entice him to move forward, but he just hasn't quite mastered the gears yet. He has been able to walk for a while now if we hold his hands, and now, he can walk with us only holding one hand (for a small stretch), which leads us to believe that he will take after his cousin Jess and walk before he crawls
(forwards, that is).
He is busting at the seams weighing nearly 22 pounds, putting him in the 80-90 percentile for weight at his age (Hello college recruiters - if you want to start scouting for beefy quarterbacks, we are open to talking). We went to an Italian restaurant the other day and the server asked if he needed a side plate to share my tortellini, thinking he was about six months older than he is. Yikes.
He has his bottom two teeth that are about half way in, which makes his smile even more adorable and he is obsessed with our version of a baby pineapple popsicle (mesh teethers with a frozen chunk of pineapple inside).
Here are the updated pictures of our handsome little guy-
We had some photo fun in the back yard with a large mirror before we hung it above the fireplace in the living room. He is mesmerized by the little friend that he sees whenever we pass by a reflective surface.
"Yeah, this Cross fit program really shows quick results..."
We love you, buddy!
