Father's Day weekend started out with us going to the Farmer's Market in Downtown Davenport. This place has grown exponentially and draws a crazy huge crowd.
We had some delicious donuts, coffee & homemade treats.
After the market, we went to the park across the street to let the kids run off some of their energy (and to take some photos).
Next up?
Grandma & Grandpa were in town from Fairfield so they came over to see our house and then we went to have a yummy dinner at Village Inn.
After we ate, everyone came back to our house and listened to the rain storms while sitting on our screened in porch and eating some delicious ice cream dessert compliments of Momma B.
The first photo was hilarious. Matt and Grandpa were both sitting on the bench at the end of our bed in the exact. same. position.
I had to get a shot of it.
Like grandfather, like son.
After we took some family shots, Abby took over the camera and Jackson was scaring us with random toys. If you can't see why we are freaking out, look closely at Momma's shoulder.
There's a snake!
Dad was being attacked by some random animal found in the porch and last but not least...
Matt was attacked by Jackson's tow truck.
Good thing Abby was there to capture all of these things!
Father's Day morning, we got up, gave Matt his gifts and went to eat with my dad.
We then took the kiddos to Vanderveer Park to do a little fishing.
Jax had a toddler meltdown and wanted nothing to do with the pond, the fishing rod or his life jacket.
We didn't think much of his fussiness because he had been up late the past two nights.

Abby scored the only fish of the day!
Later when we went to the park for a picnic and some play time, we realized that Jax was sick.
He literally fell asleep on my lap - at a park, nonetheless.
He started a fever and was pretty sick and crazy fussy for the next two days.
There was a lot of snuggling and book reading in mommy's bed and by Tuesday night he was better.
This kid has NEVER been able to sleep anywhere but in his crib and the carseat.
That's when we knew there would be some trouble.
We are glad to report that he is all better and his energy has returned.
Well, that's it for now.
