Tis the (cold and flu) season!

The Bishop household has been crazy with non stop medical drama.  Jackson had one of his first colds that made its way to his chest and then back to his sinuses, which made for a very long ten days.  Right now, he is on the move and stronger than he should be at 11 months.  Couple that with a nebulizer that he is frightened of and you have quite a struggle on your hands.  It literally took both Matt and I had to hold him still so that we could get the medicine into his system.  Once he actually allowed it to happen for more than thirty seconds (day three) it started working, and soon we had our active little boy back.  See ya later, sniffles.

We took the kiddos to the mall for a visit with Santa, and it was quite the experience.  After arriving at 4:30pm only to see that Santa was on break for an hour, we did a little shopping.  On our way back to visit the big guy, we realized that Jackson had kicked off one of his shoes and it had gone missing (hence the shoeless boy in the picture).  Abby jumped right into Santa's lap and told him that she would like to have a vanity for Christmas.  Santa didn't know what to say, as I'm guessing this isn't a common request.  After she explained that it would be a place for her to do her hair and play with makeup, he said "oh what a little lady," but still looked a bit puzzled.  Jackson wouldn't go near Santa.  When I sat down next to him, with Jax in my lap, he LOST IT.  Cried. Screamed.  Wanted no part of it.  I got up, bounced him around a bit, and with the help of the photo girls, sat down quick enough to snap a photo that wasn't terrible.  It was an experience to say the least.

Jackson had his first hair cut and looks like quite the little man.  It's amazing what a little trim can do - he looks so much older and he behaved like an angel while in the haircutting chair
(that doubled as a race car with a steering wheel with buttons and lights).

I don't know why, but I swear he looks like he is two years old now.
Maybe because the day after he got his haircut, he started walking solo,
without holding onto anything.  Infant no more, we have moved on to full blown toddler.

For an early Christmas present, we got an annual membership to our local
Family Museum and the first visit did not disappoint.
Abby had a blast and Jax was in heaven with all of the new sights and sounds.
Check out that look on his face. Priceless

Up next? Getting ready for the holidays!
