It's time for another Very Bishop Christmas

We celebrated Christmas on Saturday at Grandma and Grandpa Bishop's house and let me tell you, it was pretty amazing.  We got there before the sleet/snow storm hit and ate some yummy appetizers and sweets and soon after, it was time for gift opening.  We have been collecting bad sweaters all year to surprise the family with, picking them up at garage sales and resale shops.  Abby took a lot of time to carefully select each "sweatshirt" for every family member.  She was so excited about giving these gifts and she even wrapped them herself.  Needless to say, we started the gift opening with these Christmas treasures.   Grandpa was first and I think he was speechless because he loved his sweater so much.  Brad put his on right away and Kristen was pumped because she had shoulder pads.  Beth and Gene looked great in their sweaters (Gene definitely scored the most Cosby-like of them all) and Grandma's sweater selection may have taken the cake.  Great job, Abby! We can't wait to see what you have in store for next year!

Opening gifts when you have a one year old is virtually impossible, especially if they are walking.  We resorted to putting Jackson in the wrapping paper tote but it only worked for a couple of minutes.

He wanted nothing to do with opening his own gifts but wanted to open and or steal everyone else's. He was first after grandma's mug:
Then he wanted whatever Uncle Brad had in this box:

Abby scored again by selecting two very special presents for Grandma and Grandpa:
For Grandma it was a ring holder, high heeled shoe with animal print.
For Grandpa, a giant clock to wear around his neck.  Grandpa Flav?
There was some photobombing -
and a lot of laughs and good times.
Happy Holidays to everyone and Cheers to a happy and healthy 2014!
