Okay, so this one is a little behind the times. We actually started renovating the dining room in July, but we just finished the last project in the room - the windows. This is the one room that when I created my inspiration board and showed Matt, let's just say that his reaction was less than amazed. I told him that he needed to trust me and voila - in the end he loved it.
Here's a few before and after photos to show you the huge difference. We basically re-did every single part of this room except for the floor. Shout out to Mateo for being such a construction project guru. If he doesn't know how to make it work or fix it, he researches and digs until he can figure it out (unless it involves changing out a chandelier that's twenty feet in the air. Then he calls in a professional).
Okay, onto the dining room.
Before #1 - looking from the office
After #1 - Total transformation
Before #2 - from the north east corner of the room
After #2 - See ya later, 1990.
Before #3 - looking from the south east corner of the room
After #3 - project completion!
Here are a few more photos of the transformation as it was happening, in addition to the after reveal.
We absolutely love it and look forward to eating in it more when less of Jackson's meal ends up on the floor. For now, the eat in kitchen is still the dining option of choice.
Chandelier - before
Chandelier - after
...and a few more afters:
We did the art on the wall ourselves so that it coordinated with the curtains/pillow and accessories
And last but not least - this is Jackson's favorite place to read and or play trucks.
Everyone loves a window seat!
Next up?
