Kicking off the summer

Since the weather so far this spring /summer has pretty much sucked this year
(come on, mother nature, seriously? Cold weather to rainy weather to more rainy weather to tornadoes and thunderstorms and then more rain?)
we take any chance that we can get to go outside and enjoy some fun.
Here are a few of our most recent moments:

I took the kiddos to Mitchell Park for a picnic while Matt was working the Saturday before Father's Day so that I could get a few snaps of them to give to him as a gift.
The last one is my favorite, because it showcases Jax's hilarious personality.

This next one made me a little nervous.
Abby's convertible seats two, but is Jax really old enough to ride along?
Sure, it only goes two miles an hour, but this mom was nervous.
I made sure he had his helmet on and was fully seatbelted in.
He definitely had a blast and Abby was so proud to be riding up and down our street with her brother!

Okay, so this one isn't outside, but it's not every day that we to to Happy Joe's for pizza, games and frozen yogurt.  Jackson definitely approved of the choice and licked his bowl clean!

We are waiting for you, warm and sunny summer weather.
*note - As I'm writing this, it is pouring, dark and thundering. It's also nine in the morning and Jackson keeps coming to me and saying "walk."
Maybe sometime today, Jax, but not likely...
