A Bishop Family Tradition - Summer Fun Day

Every year when the Mississippi Valley Fair is in town, we plan a day that we spend together as a family from morning until night.  This year, we had a crazy weather day  - raining on and off non stop.  That didn't stop us, we packed a picnic and headed to West Lake Park.  Jax played on the equipment for a while and then we set off to Jackson's first paddleboat ride.  He actually loved it and was sad when we had to get back to shore.  From there, we went to the beach, did a little swimming and a little playing before heading home.

Next up was the Rock Island County Fair - where it was raining... again.
The upside of this?  No lines for any games or concessions and we got to sample some super yummy fair food.  The downside?  Going down a slide on a potato sack in the rain isn't the best idea... you tend to get stuck on the slide.  The last hour or so that we were there it stopped raining so Jax could actually enjoy the rides.   Hopefully 2017 will have much better weather for Summer fun day!!

xoxo,
Karen
