Halloween festivities, 2016

This year, we did Halloween a couple of different times.
We started out by going to Boo at the Zoo, held at Niabi.  The kiddos had a blast and got lots of compliments on their costumes.  Jax was supposed to be a Royal Guard, but people thought he was a) a nutcracker b) a toy soldier or c) someone in the National Guard.  Either way, I absolutely fell in love with his costume!  Abby was a vintage pirate and had so much fun twirling in her skirt and playing with her sword.  Jax and Abby actually traded swords throughout the day which was pretty hilarious.

We stopped over at Papa's house after the zoo to show him the kiddos costumes.  Don't worry, Abby let him go soon after the below photo was taken :)
Jax also wore this costume on Halloween as we went around our neighborhood and to his preschool for a Halloween party.

The day before Halloween, we went trunk or treating at a church up the street and were lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa come along with us and as a bonus, we got to spend time with Dayton and Colton!  It was adorable to see the boys playing each other and holding hands while getting their candy.

Last, I had to show photos of a present that Jackson got from one of my senior's parents.  Since Wendy picked up her photos shortly after Jackson got preschool rugburn on his face (you can read more about that in a September post) and she felt terrible for him.  She came by our house and dropped off a pumpkin for him with paints and brushes and told him that he could make his own "Jax-o-lantern," which I thought was absolutely adorable.  He had me draw a face like he wanted and then he painted it.  Check out the before and after...

That's it for Halloween this year.
Can't wait until it rolls around next year!
xoxo,
Karen
